IDEAS AND SOURCES

TO MAKE BIBLE LESSONS FUN USE THESE IDEAS AND SOURCES

Ideas and Sources: are shown here to help you prepare and teach Lesson Plans like those this site is preparing for you. They are plans used to prepare for lessons that have helped children have a fun, exciting time when learning Gods’ Word – The Bible!

Ideas: I am currently teaching three year old children and our Church follows a plan of Bible Stories – Old and New Testament. I added to the outline provided. It is good to read the Bible story a week ahead of when teaching and to pray over the principles being taught. Also pray for the children being taught. God is always faithful to help me and give me creative ideas. I can’t remember where I heard this but it’s really good. You can be creative – say “The creative force that created the world lives inside me “. God is always faithful to answer prayer. Praying with workers before class is also important.

Sources: I use many props and pictures because younger children do not think so much abstractly but concretely. It helps them to understand what a teacher says when they see and hear. Music also helps them to remember. There are lots of helps out on the internet and in Books and Videos. The following is a list of some of what I use.

Sources: Concordia Publishing. (see pictures below)

I find ideas and props other people use for the lesson on the Pinterest site

(You can search Bible Stories or Crafts for children etc.)

“I am special I am special to the Lord – Oh the Lord I love Him so and I’ll let the whole world know. I am special I am special to the Lord” *Children Of Grace Worship published by Grace Church St Louis
To Show them what it means to be saved:  Put on a dirty ragged shirt with a big red heart pinned to it with dirt all over it.  Say this is what we look like without Jesus.  When Jesus comes into our heart He cleans us up.  What makes us dirty is sin and God’s Word says everyone has sinned

I give puppet kisses to the children who want one – Make sure you don’t  scare them .  I just brush them on the cheek with its mouth.  I have the puppet whisper in my ear and I tell them puppets like to give kisses, but only if you want one.
